Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking Security Officers to join our team at a shopping centre in North Vancouver for full-time and part-time roles. The pay rate is $20.00/hour and a valid BC Security Worker License is required.

Applicants should have security and customer service experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle incidents and evictions, with the flexibility to work shifts outside regular transit hours.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Worker License.
• Experience in security and customer service.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Physical ability to patrol indoors and outdoors.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Overview

We are currently looking for Security Officers to join our team at a shopping centre in North Vancouver for full-time and part-time positions.

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Please note that shift start or end times may fall outside of regular transit hours, so candidates with a vehicle that they can use to get to and from the site are preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the site
• Provide excellent customer service
• Communicate with clients, tenants, members of the public, and emergency responders
• Handle evictions and de-escalate conflict situations
• Write detailed incident reports
• Enforce property rules and bylaws
• Other duties to meet operational needs

You are a good fit if you have:

• A valid BC Security Worker License
• Prior work experience in the security industry and customer service
• Experience handling aggression or dealing with incidents independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to complete the job duties, including patrolling indoors and outdoors for the majority of your shift
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
