Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Security Guard for a role based in Truro, Nova Scotia. You will monitor surveillance, respond to incidents, perform patrols, control access, and document events with strong attention to detail.

The position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with uniform provided and ongoing GardaWorld Academy training to support career growth. You will require a valid security license to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• First aid certification is an asset
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
