Job summary

Commissionaires BC is hiring a Mobile Security Guard to service multiple client sites. This role requires safe operation of a patrol vehicle, strong observation skills, and prompt response to alarms and client requests.

The position includes a Saturday-Sunday night rotation (2200-0600) with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour. Must hold a valid BC Security License and Class 5 BC Driver's license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid BC Security License.
• Hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver\'s license.
• Have a clean driver’s abstract.
• Fluent English; excellent written and verbal skills.
• Positive attitude with professional demeanor and strong interpersonal/customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail to fulfill job duties and incident report writing.
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a Mobile Patrol motor vehicle in accordance with all laws and regulations.
• Conducting security checks at client sites according to directives, standards and post orders.
• Utilize company cell phones and Tracktik phone app.
• Conducting alarm response to client sites as needed.
• Conducting House Watch patrol if necessary.
• Attending lone worker sites to check on workers when requested.
• Ensuring incident and shift reports are completed including Run Sheets, Vehicle Inspection reports, Tracktik reports, Alarm reports and Inventory reports.
• Reporting for shifts on time, and maintaining proper dress and deportment at all times.
• Reporting any unsafe incidents, practices and/or issues.
• Conducting vehicle checks at start of shifts and ensuring any issues are reported accurately.
• Being respectful towards tools/equipment and ensuring proper key control at all times.
• Ensuring vehicles are kept clean and washed as required.
• Maintaining high standard of work ethic and professionalism.
• Promoting a respectful workplace by displaying a courteous, professional attitude.
• Keeping management aware of any unusual incidents.
