Job summary

Commissionaires BC is seeking a reliable Mobile Security Guard in Kelowna to service multiple client sites. You will safely operate a patrol vehicle, perform security checks, and respond to alarms while maintaining a professional demeanor.

This role requires strong observation skills, the ability to work independently on weekend night shifts (Sat/Sun 2200-0600), and excellent communication with clients and management.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security License is required.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s license is required.
• Clean driver’s abstract is required.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal skills is required.
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal/customer service skills is required.
• Attention to detail for incident reporting and duties is required.
• Problem solving skills and calm response to emergencies are required.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations is required.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a Mobile Patrol motor vehicle in accordance with all laws and regulations;
• Conducting security checks at client sites according to directives, standards and post orders;
• Utilize company cell phones and Tracktik phone app;
• Conducting alarm response to client sites as needed
• Conducting House Watch patrol if necessary;
• Attending lone worker sites to check on workers when requested;
• Ensuring incident and shift reports are completed including Run Sheets, Vehicle Inspection reports, Tracktik reports, Alarm reports and Inventory reports;
• Reporting for shifts on time, and maintaining proper dress and deportment at all times;
• Reporting any unsafe incidents, practices and/or issues;
• Conducting vehicle checks at start of shifts and ensuring any issues are reported accurately;
• Being respectful towards tools/equipment and ensuring proper key control at all times;
• Ensuring vehicles are kept clean and washed as required;
• Maintaining high standard of work ethic and professionalism;
• Promoting a respectful workplace by displaying a courteous, professional attitude;
• Keeping management aware of any unusual incidents;

This roles requires the safe operations of a patrol vehicle, strong observations kills, and the ability to respond effectively to alarms incidents, and client requests. The selected candidate is expected to maintain a high standard of professionalism, accountability, and work ethic while working independently in a dynamic environment.

Rotation:

• Saturday and Sunday 2200-0600

Pay rate: $22.00 / hour

Must have valid Class 5 BC Driver's License

Your Must-Haves:

• Hold a valid BC Security License
• Hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s license
• Have a clean driver’s abstract
• Fluent English; excellent written and verbal skills
• Positive attitude with professional demeanor and strong interpersonal/customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail to fulfill job duties and incident report writing
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations
• Basic to intermediate computer skills

Your Nice-To-Haves:

• Experience in a similar role
• Basic First Aid (Occupational First Aid Level 1)
