Job summary

Commissionaires BC is seeking security guards to join our casual on-call Reserves Division, working at sites in Mission. Availability: Monday - Friday, 0730 - 1530, with shifts varying by site.

You will hold a BC Security License and OFA 1, be comfortable working at multiple locations, and provide first-class customer service while patrolling, monitoring CCTV, and responding to incidents.

Qualifications

• BC Security License required.
• OFA 1 required.
• Lived in Canada 5+ years for clearance purposes.
• Availability to work at a variety of sites and locations.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Escort individuals to and from Uncontrolled Areas; verify passes before entering Restricted/ Sterile Areas.
• Notify the correct parties when entering and leaving facilities.
• Maintain visual contact while escorting construction workers with Temporary Passes.
• Patrol various sites/locations and provide first-class customer service.
• Monitor CCTV and proactively respond to emergencies and conflicts.
• Maintain detailed daily logs and incident reports; communicate issues to the Site Supervisor.

Your Must-Haves:

• BC Security License
• Hold OFA 1
• Lived in Canada for 5+ yearsfor clearance purposes
• Availability to work at a variety of sites and locations
• Excellent communication skills

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Escort individualsto and fromUncontrolled Areas
• Prior to entering the Restricted Area and/or Sterile Area, verify all Temporary Passes against Lost & stolen list
• Notify thecorrect partieswhen entering the facility and when leaving
• Ensure that Visual Contact is maintained while escortingconstruction workersusing Temporary Passes
• Patrolling various sites/locations
• Offering first class customer service to both clients and general public
• CCTV Monitoring
• Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts
• Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports
• Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor
