Job summary

Commissionaires BC is seeking a Security Guard for an Intermediate First Aid/OFA 2 site in Downtown Vancouver. You will ensure safety and security while delivering excellent customer service.

The role includes access control, regular patrols, CCTV monitoring, and acting as a first responder in emergencies. Flexible hours, with shifts on Tue and Wed from 0000 to 0800, offer a varied schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security License.
• Intermediate First Aid/OFA 2 certification.
• Experience with CCTV and access control systems.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring a positive experience.
• Provide access control and issue passes as required.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property and grounds, on foot.
• Monitor and safeguard people, property, buildings, and equipment.
• Actively monitor CCTV systems to detect and respond to security threats.
• Serve as a first responder in emergencies, providing immediate First Aid to employees.
• Log and monitor all deliveries.
• Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate parties.
• Report incidents to the Site Supervisor and submit detailed investigation reports.

We are seeking a Security Guard to join our team at an Intermediate First Aid/OFA 2 site in Downtown Vancouver. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of the property while providing excellent customer service to our clients.

Schedule: Tuesday & Wednesday 0000 - 0800

Payrate: $25.83/hr
