Job summary

Paladin Security in Kamloops is seeking an Industrial Security Officer responsible for access control, patrols, and proactive risk response. Excellent customer service and clear written reporting are essential.

The role is part-time with 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts, weekends, and summers; essential certifications include BC Security Licence, OFA 3, and BC Class 5 license. Uniforms are provided and development opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid BC Security Licence.
• Hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence.
• OFA 3 (Advanced First Aid) certification.
• Eligible to work in Canada for full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining strict control of all access points, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter the facility.
• Verifying access cards carefully and deny entry to unauthorized individuals while maintaining professionalism.
• Conducting regular patrols of the entire site to monitor for hazards, unauthorized activity, or security breaches.
• Staying highly vigilant and alert at all times, anticipating potential risks and responding proactively.
• Opening and closing access gates promptly, ensuring smooth operations without compromising security.
