Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking an Industrial Security Guard in Vanderhoof, BC. You will manage access control, perform comprehensive patrols, monitor alarms, and provide First Aid as needed to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Licence.
• Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Minimum 3 months of experience working as a security guard.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical access control, including visitor and contractor sign-in, identification, and badging.
• Perform interior, exterior, foot, and mobile patrols to identify and mitigate safety and security risks.
• Monitor site alarms (fire, CCTV, card access) and respond promptly to site incidents or emergencies.
• Provide First Aid response (Level 1) and safety escorts for staff or visitors as needed.
• Maintain local key control, inspect emergency equipment, and lock or unlock facility access points.
• Complete clear, accurate incident reports and maintain site documentation.

Site Overview

Located in Vanderhoof, BC, this industrial site requires dedicated security coverage to maintain safety, protect assets, and support day-to-day client operations. You will work in a dynamic industrial setting, ensuring secure access and conducting routine patrols to support a safe working environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Manage physical access control, including visitor and contractor sign-in, identification, and badging.

Perform interior, exterior, foot, and mobile patrols to identify and mitigate safety and security risks.

Monitor site alarms (fire, CCTV, card access) and respond promptly to site incidents or emergencies.
