Security Guard - Hiring Event

Allied Universal is actively recruiting temporary Event Security Guards for a premier annual exhibition at the Toronto Waterfront Fairgrounds this summer! (Downtown Toronto).

Work Duration: August 21st to September 7th - may lead to permanent opportunities once the contract is over.

We are looking for successful candidates to have some experience with enforcing regulations, crowd control and responding to emergencies.

ALL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A SMART SERVE CERTIFICATION.

Candidates are encouraged to attend with the following so that we can onboard you quickly:

• an up-to-date resume
• Valid Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate
• 2 Government issued IDs

Hiring Event Details

Date: Tuesday, August 11th, 2026

Time: 10AM – 2PM

Location: 5580 Explorer Drive, Suite 300 in Mississauga

Available Positions: Event Security Guards (Temporary 3 month contract)

> 20 + positions available> Pay rate: $21.00 per hour> End of August to early September> Only paid parking available - best to take the GO/transit> May lead to permanent opportunities after the contract ends

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• First Aid & CPR Certification
• Valid Smart Serve Certification
• Crowd management experience preferred
• Minimum 6 months - 1 year of security experience preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer proficiency (incident reporting, access control systems, email)
• Professional demeanor with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Physically capable of extended standing, walking, and patrol duties
• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
