Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard for a corporate site in Downtown Toronto, ON. This part-time role offers $20.40 per hour with Friday and Saturday night shifts (23:00–11:00).

The guard will patrol the site, monitor CCTV and access controls, and provide professional service to employees and visitors. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of security experience, a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence, First Aid/CPR, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of security experience, preferably in a commercial, corporate, or retail environment.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to write detailed and accurate incident reports.
• Basic to intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and security management systems.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Ability to work rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the property.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity, theft, vandalism, and other security concerns.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and calls for service.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to tenants, residents, visitors, and contractors.
• Enforce property rules, regulations, and site-specific procedures.
• Assist with access control and visitor management as required.
• Investigate and document incidents, accidents, and unusual occurrences.
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and security vulnerabilities.
• Support emergency response procedures and coordinate with emergency services when required.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and electronic documentation in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with property management and other stakeholders to maintain a safe and professional environment.
