Allied Universal is seeking a Security Site Supervisor for a Commercial/Retail Facility in Downtown Toronto. This full-time role leads a security team, manages schedules, and ensures safety and service excellence for tenants, retailers, and visitors.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of the security team.
• Develop, manage, and maintain employee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Foster positive employee relations through effective communication and performance management.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to promote continuous improvement.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance.
• Build and maintain relationships with client, contractors, and stakeholders.

• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and training of security personnel.
• Complete incident and operational reports in a timely manner.

Security Site Supervisor - Commercial/Retail Facility

Location: Downtown Toronto

Position: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $28.00-$29.50/hour

Schedule: 0800 -1600 Monday to Friday, with flexibility for additional hours

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Security Site Supervisor - Commercial/Retail Facility to join our team at a prestigious multi-commercial property in Downtown Toronto. This leadership role is ideal for a highly experienced security supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment and has a proven ability to lead, develop, and support a diverse team. The successful candidate will be an effective leader with strong operational experience, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for tenants, retailers, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of the security team.
• Develop, manage, and maintain employee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels while meeting operational requirements.
• Foster positive employee relations through effective communication, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to promote continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and client expectations.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and customer concerns while ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-up.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training of security personnel.
• Complete incident reports, performance documentation, and operational reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies, company procedures, and applicable legislation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of all direct and indirect reports;
• Understands property management and property security and life safety needs;
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google products;
• Knowledge and understanding of applicable federal, provincial and municipal legislation and regulations in the area of security and life safety management; and
• Sound knowledge of industry techniques and emergent trends in security and life safety management.
• Budget and Administration:

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in the security industry, preferably in a commercial property environment.
• Demonstrated experience in employee scheduling and workforce management.
• Strong background in employee relations, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Exceptional customer service and client relationship management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proven ability to lead by example while motivating and developing a high-performing team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling or workforce management software.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
• Valid First Aid/CPR.
