Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional in Chatham, Ontario. This casual, on-site role involves access control, monitoring CCTV, de-escalation of incidents, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. You will patrol facilities, maintain reports, and present a professional image to visitors and staff.

The position requires a valid Ontario security guard license, valid First Aid/CPR, and a minimum 18 years of age. Hours include weekends and varied shifts with pay at $18.32 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid Ontario security guard license.
• Driver's license is an asset.
• Eligible to work in Canada for 24 hours per week.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area.
• Present a polished, professional image at all times.
• Manage conflicts and incidents and deescalate when needed.
• Patrols and follow post orders, indoor or outdoor as required.
• Ensure safety procedures and fire/emergency responses.
• Complete site training and follow supervisor guidance.
• Maintain meticulous records and clear written communications.
• Operate/monitor security room equipment.

Requirement

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm .
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid Ontario security guard license

Specific Duties Performed And Essential Functions

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, manage the movement of guests at various points throughout the property etc.
• Ensure that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site required training
