Job summary

JTF Security Group Inc. is seeking part-time/casual Security Professionals with Advanced Security Training (AST) for specialty deployments within the Nanaimo area.

These deployments will focus on passenger operations within a marine transport environment and require a well-groomed, calm, silent professional presence. Security professionals are responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment through high-level situational awareness, the ability to hold space and advanced de-escalation

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Valid BC Security Workers License with AST endorsement.
• Evening, late-night and weekend availability.
• Capable of standing or walking for extended periods as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and orderly environment through high-level situational awareness and de-escalation techniques.
• Coordinate with clients and public to ensure security and safety.
• Prepare and submit incident and activity reports as needed.
• Support passenger operations in marine transport settings in the Nanaimo area.

JTF Security is accepting applications for part-time/casual Security Professionals with Advanced Security Training (AST) for specialty deployments within the Nanaimo area!

These deployments will typically focus on passenger operations within a marine transport environment and require a well-groomed, calm, silent professional presence. Security professionals are responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment through high-level situational awareness, the ability to hold space and advanced de-escalation techniques.

We are seeking passionate and reliable individuals who possess the following abilities:

• Critical thinking and problem solving
• Ability to maintain positive client and public relations
• Good understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
• Basic experience with report writing
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Please note that candidates must have evening, late-night and weekend availability to be considered for employment.

Requirements

All JTF Security Guards are required to hold a valid British Columbia Security License, have access to a smartphone with data while on shift, and be capable of standing or walking for extended periods of time (when required).
