We are seeking a professional Security Guard to provide security services at multiple Edmonton client locations, including Home Depot stores and a community facility. This position offers approximately 33 hours per week and involves a combination of retail security, exterior patrols, and access control duties.

Assigned Sites

• Home Depot 13310 - 111 Ave. NW


• Home Depot 6725 104 Street NW


• Vohon Ukrainian Dance Ensemble 10629 98 St NW, Edmonton

Timings and Schedule

• Thursday: 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM | Vohon Ukrainian Dance Ensemble


• Friday: 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM | Home Depot


• Saturday: 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM | Home Depot


• Sunday: 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM | Home Depot

Requirements

• Valid AB Security Guard License


• Valid First Aid / CPR certificate an asset


• Must be able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time


• Strong Communication skills, written and verbal


• Ability to complete daily logs and write detailed reports


• Must have strong customer service skills


• Previous security experience would be an asset


• Basic Computer Skills

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot patrols.


• Be visible and professional at all times.


• Watch for safety issues, suspicious activity, and security concerns.


• Report incidents and complete reports.


• Communicate with management and site contacts.


• Follow site procedures and post orders.

Vohon Ukrainian Dance Ensemble

• Remain outside for most of the shift as a visible security presence unless weather is bad.


• Patrol both parking lots regularly.


• Patrol the nearby street and monitor parked vehicles.


• Prevent unauthorized access to the building.


• Discourage loitering around the property.


• Use and return the site phone and post orders as required.

Home Depot Locations

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the store.


• This is a strict Observe and Report position.


• Patrol key areas, including:


• Tool Corral


• Assisted Checkout (ACO)


• Store Perimeter


• Parking Lot


• Watch for theft, safety concerns, vandalism, and suspicious activity.


• Report incidents to Store Management.


• Provide your contact number to the Manager on Duty (MOD) upon arrival.


• Monitor for emergencies, fires, and other security concerns.


• Do not physically intervene, confront suspected shoplifters, inspect bags, or request receipts.
