Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized diploma program in Electronic Technology or related field.
• Three years of recent, related experience required.

You as an ‘AV/Controls Technician’ will:

• Troubleshoot and repair all audio/visual equipment with high sense of urgency
• Troubleshoot and repair all security equipment with high sense of urgency
• Assist in reorganizing offices and courtroom millwork by maintaining the functionality of the systems and audio/visual equipment
• Help resolve building automation system related issues such as cooling, heating, and ventilation
• Troubleshoot and maintain all courthouse related electronics, security system, automated door locks and operators, duress station, automated roll up doors, etc.
• Back-up and maintain security and automation servers
• Assist client and subcontractors to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all networking equipment.
• Work side by side with electrician to repair automated lighting systems and other duties as required
• Prepare reports using automation software and Microsoft office as requested
• Perform all preventative maintenance in efficient and timely manner, adhere and maintain departmental standards for undertaking work to meet quality standards and key performance targets
• Comply with relevant safety procedures, company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards
• Operate maintenance equipment as necessary
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

Is this the right role for you?

• Graduate of a recognized diploma program in Electronic Technology or Electro-mechanical Technician
• Three (3) years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Genetec certifications (would be an asset)
• Ticketed Electrician (would be an asset)
• Familiarity with Cooper Lighting (would be an asset)
• Ability to communicate effectively
• High degree of attention to detail
• Passing completion of security clearance required
