Translational Research in Oncology (TRIO) is a global academic clinical research organization dedicated to advancing translational cancer research in the clinical trial setting. Our passionate team is committed to providing cancer treatments of the future to the world of today.

TRIO is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Information Services Security Analyst to join our Information Services team. Reporting to the supervisor within the Information Services department, this position will be home based in Canada.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The candidate should have a strong background in cybersecurity, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.

Responsibilities

1. Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents to identify potential threats.
2. Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive information.
3. Investigate security breaches and recommend corrective actions.
4. Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders (customers, suppliers, internal staff) on security-related matters.
5. Coordinate and assess security evaluations, questionnaires, and assessments.
6. Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
7. Maintain security KPIs and prepare reports on security incidents and measures for management.
8. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
9. Review security configurations and user access rights periodically to ensure policy compliance.
10. Lead or support cybersecurity awareness initiatives, including training and simulated phishing campaigns.
11. Collaborate with IS and other departments to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
12. Act as a cybersecurity SME for TRIO projects and departments.
13. Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related area.
3. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, etc.
4. Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption.
5. Experience with security tools like SIEM, threat management, and scanning tools.
6. Knowledge of cloud security, particularly Microsoft Azure.
7. Familiarity with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS.
8. Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
10. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
11. Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Pay Range: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00, influenced by experience, education, location, and market data.
