Aramark is seeking a Second Cup Barista for the Killam Library at Dalhousie University. In this role, you’ll craft high-quality espresso drinks and create a warm environment for guests. Whether you are experienced or new to coffee, comprehensive training will be provided.

We are seeking a Second Cup Barista to join our team at the Second Cup in the Killam Library at Dalhousie University! As a Second Cup Barista, you’ll be at the heart of our café. You’ll craft high-quality espresso drinks, share your passion for premium teas and specialty beverages, and create a warm, welcoming environment for our local community.
Whether you're a seasoned coffee enthusiast or looking to learn the art of espresso, we provide hands-on training to help you succeed.
Craft Quality Beverages: Prepare espresso drinks, iced beverages, teas, and specialty creations to Second Cup recipe and quality standards.
Deliver Great Service: Welcome every guest with a warm smile, take orders accurately, and build connections with regulars.
Maintain Café Standards: Keep the bar, counter, seating area, and display cases clean, organized, and inviting.
Food & Cash Handling: Prepare light food items (pastries, sandwiches) and process transactions quickly and accurately at the register.
Teamwork: Work collaboratively with fellow team members during peak rushes to keep the shift running smoothly.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
This is a union position with SEIU Local 2.

The pay range for this position is $18.88 - $19.88.
