Tim Hortons Team Members are invited to join Aramark in Halifax, delivering friendly customer service and fast pace beverages, baking, and transactions at Dalhousie Life Sciences Center.

Role involves guest interaction, food prep, keeping lines moving, and maintaining clean, safe spaces. Union position with SEIU Local 2; benefits, vacation, ptime hours, uniforms, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience is an asset.
• Experience with Tim Hortons or similar franchise is an asset.
• WHMIS and Food Safe (Basic or Advanced) and First Aid certification is an asset.
• Commitment to high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work supervised and unsupervised.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for customer service.

Responsibilities

• Guest experience: greet guests, take orders, and process transactions using POS.
• Food & beverage preparation: brew coffee, prepare breakfast items, and bake goods to standards.
• Speed & accuracy: keep lines moving during peak drive-thru and front-counter hours.
• Cleanliness & sanitation: maintain a clean, safe environment across all areas.

We are seeking Tim Horton's Team Members to join our team at Tim Hortons in Dalhousie University's Life Sciences Center!

Job Responsibilities

• Guest Experience: Greet guests with a warm smile, take orders accurately, and handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system.

• Food & Beverage Preparation: Brew fresh coffee, mix specialty drinks, prepare breakfast items, sandwiches, and showcase baked goods according to Tim Hortons standards.

• Speed & Accuracy: Work collaboratively to keep line-ups moving quickly, especially during peak drive-thru and front-counter rush hours.

• Cleanliness & Sanitation: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across the counter, kitchen, drive-thru, and seating areas.

• Restocking & Prep: Keep workstations stocked with cups, lids, coffee beans, and fresh ingredients throughout your shift.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience is an asset
• Experience working with Tim Horton's or similar franchise an asset
• Valid WHMIS and Food Safe (Basic or Advanced), First Aid Certification is an asset
• Knowledge of and commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Additional certification may be required by work location
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervised
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The pay range for this position is $18.88 - $19.88.
