Job summary

The Crescent Hotels Group in Edmonton is seeking a Second Cook to join our culinary team at The Varscona Hotel on Whyte. You will work with the kitchen crew to prepare delicious dishes and ensure high standards.

You will set up stations, follow recipes, and maintain safety protocols in a fast-paced environment. Flexible shifts including evenings and weekends help accommodate personal schedules.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary experience required and demonstrated skill in kitchen practices.
• Some college or relevant technical training preferred.
• Certified Food Handler certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of dishes alongside the culinary team.
• Set up workstations and gather ingredients to match recipes and standards.
• Follow recipes and health and safety rules in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Here is what you will be doing each day:

As our Second Cook, you will be working with our Culinary team to passionately assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes and high standards.
