Overview
The Seasonal Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse, with a focus on supervising personnel and achieving daily production goals. This is a seasonal position from June to October.
Available Shifts
- Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement shipping and receiving schedules to ensure effective operations.
- Supervise warehouse personnel, matching skills to work requirements.
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure optimal equipment utilization and coordinate maintenance.
- Review daily work objectives and productivity requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership to balance labor and staffing needs.
- Draft and submit end-of-shift reports.
- Recommend and work on operational improvement initiatives.
Employee Relations and Development
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate operational updates.
- Assist in training and motivating staff.
- Manage onboarding processes for new hires.
- Maintain good HR practices and resolve employee issues.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
Safety and Security
- Ensure safe, clean, and efficient warehouse operations.
- Support safety programs and OSHA compliance.
- Handle incident reporting and follow-up.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or 1-5 years supervisory experience.
- High School Diploma required.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with variable priorities.
- Experience with seasonal workforces is a plus.
- Knowledge of performance metrics, process improvement, Lean/Six Sigma tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations; willingness to get certified.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Availability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks.
The base salary range is $55,000 - $65,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
