Dollar Tree Canada is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist with daily store functions, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will help organize merchandise, support inventory control, and ensure clean, well-presented stores while upholding safety and asset protection standards. This role emphasizes leadership and hands-on collaboration with the Store Manager and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, and bending
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills; ability to work in a high-energy team

Responsabilités

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll records, scheduling, and cash handling
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all assets, including store cash
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions
