Responsibilities

• Assist technicians and service team with day-to-day shop tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe automotive shop area.
• Transport parts, supplies, materials, tools, and equipment within the shop and dealership.
• Check and organize supplies, materials, hand tools, and power tools.
• Assist with cleaning, painting, lubricating, repairing, and maintaining shop equipment.
• Support proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Answer telephones and assist with routine inquiries as required.
• Provide support to other areas of the dealership as needed.

We’re seeking a Shop Assistant to support our Service department and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working as part of a team.

What You’ll Do

• Assist technicians, apprentices, and other Service team members with day-to-day shop needs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe automotive shop area
• Transport parts, supplies, materials, tools, and equipment throughout the shop and dealership
• Check and organize supplies, materials, hand tools, and power tools
• Assist with cleaning, painting, lubricating, repairing, and maintaining shop equipment
• Assist with the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
• Support a safe work environment and follow all applicable health and safety procedures
• Answer telephones and assist with routine inquiries when required
• Provide support to other areas of the dealership as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman or Service Manager

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office is an asset

• Previous automotive, dealership, maintenance, or shop experience is an asset
