Background & Purpose of the Job

We are looking for a Seasonal Sanitation Technician at our Ice Cream Manufacturing factory in Simcoe, Ontario. Our factory produces brand names such as Breyers, Ben & Jerry's, Magnum, Klondike, Popsicle, Wall's.

In this role, you will work under the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor to ensure a high level of sanitation and hygiene across all production areas.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

1. Clean and sanitize production areas.
2. Maintain close communication with maintenance (Mechanics and Electricians), Process Operators, and Packaging Technicians.
3. Ensure all machine safety guards are in place and operational.
4. Ensure compliance with all plant safety rules.
5. Comply with company SHE Standards, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Environmental Protection Act, Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, and Technical Standards and Services Act.
6. Support quality and food safety programs, including HACCP and FSCC-22000.
7. Lead 5S activities and support the overall TPM agenda.
8. Contribute to focused improvements and be an active member of a cell team responsible for safety, quality, waste reduction, and efficiency of production lines.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• High School Diploma.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of WHMIS.
• HACCP training (preferred).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret relevant documents.
