Job summary

Mind Games USA in Ottawa is seeking a Seasonal Sales Associate to help customers find the perfect games, operate the POS, and maintain vibrant displays. You will contribute to a welcoming shopping experience during peak season.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, reliability, and a passion for pop culture, board games, and toys. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous sales or retail experience is an asset.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and a team player.
• Passion for games, toys, and puzzles is a plus.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for motivated, reliable, and energetic team members to join us as Seasonal Sales Associates. You’ll assist customers in finding the perfect products, support daily store operations, and help create a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience during our busy season.

Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Greet customers, answer questions, and recommend products based on their needs.
• Operate the POS system, accurately process payments, and issue receipts.
• Keep the store neat and organized, restock shelves, and maintain attractive product displays.
• Develop product knowledge to provide helpful guidance on games, toys, puzzles, and collectibles.
• Support daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
• Assist with receiving merchandise, replenishing stock, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Follow company policies, cash-handling procedures, and loss-prevention practices.
• Work collaboratively with the team to support customers during busy periods.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

You are best suited for this role if you have the following qualifications and skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous sales, customer service, or retail experience is an asset.
