Job summary

The Corporation of The Town of Milton is seeking a Seasonal Maintenance Operator - Roads for winter operations. You will support daily road maintenance, snow plowing, sanding and de-icing, ensuring safety standards are met. Term: Nov 2, 2026 – Mar 31, 2027, with a 40-hour week and varied shifts.

Responsibilities include maintaining roads, sidewalks, signs, and stormwater infra. Must have a DZ license and OHSA knowledge; strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid DZ license with satisfactory driving record.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of OHSA and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain roads, sidewalks, curbs, bridges/culverts and stormwater infrastructure.
• Snow plowing, sanding, salting and de-icing during winter operations.
• Operate assigned equipment and complete work orders.
• Follow safety guidelines and use PPE as required.
• Respond to inquiries and coordinate with staff to meet service levels.
