Job summary

Skeena Gold + Silver Limited is seeking an Earthworks Heavy Equipment Operator for a seasonal contract at the Eskay Creek Mine site. This is a site-based, remote camp role with a 15 days on/13 days off rotation.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Earthworks and the Supervisor, Pit, you will operate dozers, excavators and loaders, perform safety checks, read grade stakes and blueprints, and support drill/blast and haul-road maintenance to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years' experience operating heavy mining and earthworks equipment on active mine or large civil sites.
• Proficient with large-scale material handling (topsoil stripping, overburden removal, ore loading, stockpile management).
• Experience building haul roads and supporting drill/blast operations in active pits.
• Ability to read grade stakes, blueprints, and plans; ensure line/grade accuracy.
• Willingness to work long shifts in remote camp conditions and comply with safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy mining and earthworks equipment (excavators, dozers, graders, loaders) per site procedures.
• Carry out material handling, pit development, waste dumping, and stockpile management.
• Support drilling, blasting, and extraction activities with safe work areas and haul roads.
• Maintain equipment efficiency, monitor fuel use, and minimize environmental impact.
• Construct and maintain haul roads, assist with environmental controls and infrastructure.
