Responsibilities:

• Assist clients in completing their tax returns using TurboImpôt.
• Provide tax advice and review personal tax returns, including full-service preparation and handling product/software inquiries.
• Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to find accurate answers for clients.
• Interact with clients via advanced video communication tools, documenting interactions for accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2+ years of paid professional tax preparation experience.
• Provide your CRA RepID to use the Représenter un client service upon onboarding.
• Experience with professional tax software for complex personal tax returns, including employment, self-employment, rental, investments, T1135, foreign income, credits, and deductions.
• Passionate about helping clients navigate tax complexities and committed to enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Excellent customer service skills, confident in video and audio interactions.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, at least 20 hours per week.

Additional Asset Qualifications:

• Experience preparing Business (T2) and Quebec (TP1) tax returns.

Skills & Abilities:

• Fundamental understanding of tax laws and concepts, with a willingness to learn and adapt annually.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, active listening, empathy.
• Ability to understand customer issues, use tools and resources to resolve or escalate issues timely.
• Curiosity and continuous learning mindset, following procedures and seeking solutions.
• Basic technical troubleshooting skills, interest in learning new tools.
