Job summary

PRT Armstrong is seeking seasonal Forest Nursery Workers to assist with the upcoming seedling harvest. You will lift and pack tree seedlings, support production in greenhouses and outdoors, and learn forest nursery activities.

Full training is provided and a fast-paced outdoor environment awaits. Starting October 2026 with potential transition to piecework for higher earnings, this role emphasizes reliability, safety, and teamwork in a physically demanding setting.

A Day in the Life:

FOREST NURSERY WORKER

We are currently seeking to fill an existing vacancy on our team.

PRT Armstrong is looking for seasonal Forest Nursery Workers to help with our upcoming tree seedling Harvest starting at the end of October. If you want a physical, fast-paced outdoor job that makes a positive environmental impact, this is for you! You’ll be lifting tree seedlings for reforestation across North America. Candidates should have a desire and keenness to learn about the forest seedling nursery activities, work independently and efficiently. No specific work experience is needed – we'll provide full training.

Your Role & What You'll Do

You’ll work as part of a supportive team under the guidance of a Nursery Manager. Your main duties will involve:

• Lifting and packing tree seedlings.
• Supporting tree seedling production in greenhouses and outdoor areas.
• Learning about forest nursery activities.
• Working independently and efficiently.
• Committing to quality and safety in a safe work environment.

Please note, this role is not eligible for relocation or accommodation support.

• Interested in and able to work in all types of outdoor environmental conditions.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout an 8-hour work shift.

• Good manual dexterity and eyesight.
• A team-oriented personality with a positive attitude.
• A desire to learn and contribute to forest regeneration.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary information: $ 18.92/HOUR and transitioning to piecework with greater earning potential
