Job summary

Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's in Nanaimo, Canada, is seeking a Seasonal Events Associate to support the store during events and holidays. Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, you will help run Santa's Wonderland activities and ensure families enjoy a free photo with Santa.

You will greet customers, manage event games, and handle POS transactions while keeping the area safe and clean and delivering a legendary customer experience.

Qualifications

• One or more years' experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer's expectations.
• Ability to use good judgment and logic.
• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's products is an asset.

• Respond and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope.
• Keep work area clean, neat and safe at all times.
• Follow all Company policies and procedures.
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate.

Job description

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, the Seasonal Events Associate performs duties associated with store events, participates in "short term" assignments and seasonal events to support the store as needed throughout the year. Every holiday season, Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's transform our stores into a festive wonderland with fun and games. Our Seasonal Events Associates act as "Santa's Elves" executing the Santa's Wonderland event, providing families with a free studio-quality photo with Santa, and facilitating various family games activities to help create unforgettable memories for our customers.

Starting Pay Rate: $18.25 - $20.25
