Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Seasonal Events Outfitter to support store events, engage customers, and help run Santa’s Wonderland activities during the holiday season.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions with POS and inventory systems, and assisting in other store areas as needed; prior sales or service experience and knowledge of outdoor lifestyle are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in sales or service environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to exceed expectations.
• Good judgment and logical decision-making.
• Experience in outdoor lifestyle or related field is a plus.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s products is an asset.

• Process customer payment using debit, credit card, gift cards, and cash.
• Respond and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope.
• Keep work area clean, neat and safe at all times.
• Follow all Company policies and procedures.
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate.

Summary:

Reporting to the Retail Manager, the Seasonal Events Outfitter performs duties associated with store events, participates in “short term” assignments and seasonal events to support the store as needed throughout the year.

Every holiday season, Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s transform our stores into a festive wonderland with fun and games. Our Seasonal Events Associates act as “Santa’s Elves” executing the Santa’s Wonderland event, providing families with a free studio-quality photo with Santa, and facilitating various family games activities to help create unforgettable memories for our customers.
