Job summary

Hornblower Group's City Cruises Canada is seeking a bartender for a seasonal/contract role aboard our vessel fleet. You will mix beverages, provide hospitable service to guests, follow recipes, and maintain a clean, safe bar area while engaging with crew and guests.

The position requires a high school diploma, at least one year of bartending experience, knowledge of beverage recipes, strong customer service and teamwork, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) required.
• At least 1 year of bartending experience required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of beverage recipes.
• Strong customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Working knowledge of computers, including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers as prescribed in Our RESPECT Service System.
• Accurately follow recipes for all beverages; thorough knowledge of beverage offerings and prices.
• Provide prompt and consistent bar service to guests and servers throughout the cruise.
• Set up and break down bar; stock/restock per par specifications; clean bar per SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of bar and all service areas; clean glasses and equipment.
• Accurately charge guests; enter orders in POS; handle payments and change.
• Provide information on beverages, food, entertainment, routes and points of interest.
• Additional duties as assigned.
