Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Markham, Ontario is hiring for a seasonal courier position (temporary up to 12 weeks). This interview position involves providing courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery on an assigned route, checking shipments for conformance to FedEx Canada features of service, and performing related customer service tasks.

Shifts are Tuesday to Saturday or Wednesday to Saturday, with hours 8:30–17:00 on weekdays and 9:30–18:00 on weekends. Pay rate is $24 CAD per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Customer Service experience is preferred (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route.
• Check all shipments for conformance to FedEx Canada features of service and maintain accurate paperwork.
• Operate tracking/dispatch systems and report stop counts and mis-sorts.
• Ensure proper labeling and secure handling of packages, equipment and vehicles.
• Inform sales of leads and market changes and seek additional business from current customers.
