Job summary

WSP in Canada is seeking an Archaeology Field Technician I for the 2026 field season, based out of Burlington, Mississauga, Whitby or Richmond Hill. The role covers Stage 2 surveys through Stage 4 mitigations, outdoors in varying conditions and with a safety-first approach.

This seasonal position requires physical stamina, ability to work in a team, travel to out-of-town sites, and a valid Ontario driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology or related field is preferred.
• One field season of Ontario experience is an asset.
• Valid Ontario driver’s license is required or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Complete archaeological fieldwork under supervision, including Stage 2 surveys and Stage 4 mitigations.
• Support Field Supervisors and assist as needed.
• Participate in a team environment and field activities.
• Maintain safety and professional conduct in all weather conditions.
