Job summary

WSP is seeking an Archaeology Field Technician I to support fieldwork across Ontario, including Stage 2 surveys through Stage 4 excavations, for the 2026 field season starting in Spring 2026.

This seasonal role involves outdoor work, teamwork with field staff, and a safety-first approach, with assignments across Burlington, Mississauga, Whitby and Richmond Hill offices. A valid Ontario driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology or related field considered an asset.
• One field season of archaeological experience in Ontario considered an asset.
• Knowledge of archaeological artifacts is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Complete archaeological fieldwork under supervision, including Stage 2 surveys, Stage 3 site assessments and Stage 4 mitigations.
• Support Field Supervisors and assist with field activities as needed.
• Work in a team environment and maintain a safety-first approach.
• Travel to project sites and work outdoors in varied conditions.
