Job summary

Roots in Alberta is hiring a Seasonal Sales Associate to provide exceptional service and build relationships with customers at CrossIron Mills. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will support store standards, cash handling, and visual merchandising while contributing to customer loyalty and store success.

The role requires retail experience in apparel, strong communication, and a positive, proactive attitude to help customers and drive sales during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in apparel is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers.
• Experience with understanding retail operation concepts: store standards, cash handling, merchandise presentation.
• Self-starter with good judgment in all situations.
• Excellent presentation skills in a retail environment.
• Upbeat, optimistic, passionate and friendly demeanor.
• Ability to understand the needs of the customer.
• Ability to build buy-in to ideas, decisions, actions, products or services.

Responsibilities

• Display a customer-first attitude to build and maintain loyalty.
• Resolve customer issues at store level in a timely and positive manner.
• Be a team player and contribute to the store's success.
• Perform POS transactions and merchandising tasks (receiving shipments, replenishment, price markdowns, fitting room upkeep).
• Keep current on product/service updates.
• Ensure store is visually appealing and compliant with company standards.
