Job summary

Eggerman Farms Ltd. is seeking an Apiary Technician to join our seasonal team in Saskatchewan. Starting immediately, work involves early mornings, weekends, and overtime during peak periods with a wage of $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include preparing fields for bees, placing bees for pollination, and maintaining beekeeping facilities. This position requires physical fitness and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• No degree, certificate or diploma required.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of work experience.
• Valid driver’s license is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain or assist in the maintenance of beekeeping facilities.
• Prepare fields for bees.
• Place bees in fields for pollination of crops.
• Monitor health of insects and provide care.
• Prepare insects for transportation.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• Offseason – harvesting bees from hives.
• Prepare for shipment; revive shipment and allocate bees to new hives.
• Prepare equipment for shipping and receiving.
• Clean and repair hives.
• Build new hives.
• Other duties as assigned.
