Job summary

Beeflow is seeking a Beekeeper in British Columbia, Canada. This on-call role supports hive audits, feeding with Beeflow technologies, and delivering quality hives to farms during the May–June blueberry season. The position requires at least one year of beekeeping, BC-based residence, and the ability to travel for audits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of beekeeping experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Based in the Vancouver or Abbotsford area, British Columbia, Canada.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Not allergic to bee stings.
  • Knowledge and experience of the farming industry, ideally within the local region.
  • Ability to travel to other nearby cities/regions to audit hives and administer feedings independently if required.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.

  • Ability to work shifts ranging from 6 to 16 hours during the day or occasionally during the night.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About this role

The Beeflow Beekeeper is responsible for hands-on activities related to executing the Pollination Program. The position supports the delivery of quality hives to farms and the administration of Beeflow’s technologies for enhanced pollination.

Position is on an “on-call” basis, with the primary responsibility of auditing hives, and feeding them with our technologies. Hives need to be audited before and after the blueberry season.

Dates: May - June.
