Job summary

Fisherman’s Market International Inc. in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is seeking a motivated Warehouse Worker to support our shipping teams for local and international orders.

Hours are 38–45 per week, full-time, with a salary of $18.00 per hour. You will pick, pack, inspect, and prepare seafood for shipping, assist in inventory, and operate pallet jacks or forklifts if certified. This role requires physical fitness and the ability to work in a cold environment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Comfortable working in a cold and wet environment (protective gear provided).
• A valid, clean Class 5 Driver’s License is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Pick fresh, frozen and dry goods and prepare them for shipping.
• Prepare boxes and materials for shipping orders.
• Pack seafood items as required for shipping
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments of fresh and frozen seafood products
• Assist in inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records
• Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently and safely
• Report any damaged or spoiled products to supervisors
• Label products and boxes according to shipping or regulatory requirements
• Operate pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified or trained)
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety and handling procedures
