North Nova Seafoods is seeking workers for a seasonal role in Nova Scotia. Wages are $19.00 CAD per hour with hours ranging 30 to 60 per week. No prior experience or formal education required; training will be provided.

The positions are 5 in number and require English language skills. Work term is seasonal and may include mornings, evenings, and weekends. Applicants must be able to handle a physically demanding environment, stand for long periods, and work in cold/refrigerated conditions as

Qualifications

• No experience (will train).
• No degree, certificate or diploma.
• Work language: English.
• Hours: 30 to 60 hours per week.

Responsabilités

• Unload fish and shellfish from fishing vessels and transport them by hand to the work area.
• Use forklift to transport unloaded fish and shellfish from fishing vessels.
• Transport fish and shellfish to work area.
• Condition fish filets for wrapping or freezing.
• Weigh fish or shellfish, record weight and pack fish in ice.
• Clean machines and immediate work areas.
• Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines.
• Sort fish according to species, weight and destination.
