Job summary

Wildsight Elk Valley is seeking an educator to deliver ecology and sustainability education as part of a team serving the Castlegar, Trail and Rossland region. The role involves teaching ecological literacy and coordinating programs such as Winter Wonder and Beyond Recycling for school groups.

The position is part-time and contract-based, requiring a commitment of one day per week from October to May, with additional days in spring and fall to deliver other programs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a teacher or environmental educator.
• Selected candidates must undergo a criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver programs (Winter Wonder, Classroom with Outdoors, Beyond Recycling, Watershed Matters) in the Castlegar/Trail/Rossland area.
• Commit to 1 day/week Oct–May delivering Beyond Recycling and up to 20 half/full days for other programs in spring and fall.

About the Position
