Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. in Mississauga, ON, is seeking an experienced SCM professional with 5–18 years of experience in strategic sourcing and category management.

The role requires coordinating procurement activities for materials, capital equipment, and supplier partnerships to sustain supply in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and vendors, manage change orders, and optimize sourcing

Qualifications

• Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies, tools, and plans that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Direct activities of planning and purchasing of materials and capital equipment; partner with internal teams on inventory management.
• Manage the ECO / MCO change Order, together with product life cycle and engineering; ensure process.
• Think strategically, manage relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and deliver results.
• Engineering background preferred to work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Manage materials procurement life cycle including supplier selection, negotiation of contracts, purchase order management, capacity scale-up, and supplier performance.
• Optimize and scale planning and purchasing processes for new product introduction, and manage critical outsourcing activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure collaborative, actionable interactions.
• Drive supplier performance and risk management across the supply chain.
• Lead efforts to improve sourcing strategies and cost-saving initiatives.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing and scaling planning and purchasing processes for new product introduction, and managing critical outsourcing activities.
• You must be able to think strategically, manage relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and deliver results in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• The ideal candidate will have an engineering background to work in co-development manner with Engineering, Manufacturing, quality and vendors.
• Manages and fosters relationships with cross-functional departments to ensure collaborative, actionable interactions.
