Job summary

Agilus by Synergie in Toronto is seeking a Scientific/Medical Director to shape the strategic direction at the intersection of healthcare, research, and data science. This hybrid leadership role will guide initiatives, identify partnerships, and provide scientific oversight across programs and initiatives.

The ideal candidate has an advanced degree (MD/PhD/PharmD or equivalent) and a track record in leadership within healthcare, biotech, or academia, with strong communication and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific/medical discipline (MD/PhD/PharmD or equivalent).
• Significant leadership experience in healthcare, biotech, life sciences, or academia.
• Strong understanding of healthcare innovation and translational research.
• Proven ability to influence strategy, research direction, or innovation programs.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for new research, partnerships, and innovation initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.
• Engage with academic, clinical, industry, and research stakeholders.
• Provide scientific oversight and thought leadership across programs and initiatives.
• Represent the organization externally through partnerships and industry engagements.
• Help build and foster a culture of scientific excellence.
• Help define and execute the organization's scientific and clinical strategy.
• Monitor emerging developments across healthcare, oncology, genomics, data science, and related fields.
