Job summary

The Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) invites applications for a term SchoolsPlus Facilitator assigned to the JL Ilsley Family of Schools. This role leads collaborative, cross‑agency service delivery for students and families at risk, supervising Community Outreach Workers and coordinating with school leaders.

Requires a Masters in Social Work or equivalent, and minimum 3 years’ experience with interagency work.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Social Work preferred or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Eligibility for registration with Nova Scotia College of Social Workers.
• Minimum of three years’ experience managing complex social work cases and facilitating interagency collaboration.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Implement an integrated SchoolsPlus service delivery model to identify and connect students and families to supports.
• Coordinate with multi‑sector partners to develop and implement programs for at‑risk students and families.
• Supervise a team of Community Outreach Workers and maintain communication with school administration and partners.
• Monitor progress and ensure accountability within the established framework.
