Job summary

Centre de services scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys is seeking a speech-language pathologist to support students' communication skills across prevention, screening, and intervention within the school setting. You will develop tailored intervention plans with the school team and families to support students' communication skills.

Qualifications

• Be a member of the Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec (OOAQ).
• Strong analytical, observational, and synthesis skills.
• Listening, communication, and dialogue skills.
• Demonstrate a collaborative attitude with various stakeholders.
• Exhibit human, relational, and psychological qualities.
• Proof of success in the French SEL test or CÉFRANC or TECFÉE or enhanced French exam within three months of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the needs of the student who presents communication problems and assess hearing, language, voice, and speech disorders.
• Develop a treatment and intervention plan in speech-language pathology or audiology tailored to the student's abilities.
• Participate in the development and implementation of the speech-language pathology service while respecting educational and administrative frameworks.
• Contribute to screening and recognition of students facing difficulties, collaborating with team members for intervention coordination.
