Job summary

TVCC is seeking a contract, full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join School Therapy Services in Owen Sound. The position serves Grey and Bruce counties with occasional support in Huron and Perth counties, starting October 2026 and ending December 2027.

You will provide school-based therapy, screen, assess, and consult on speech, articulation, fluency, voice, and related needs, working with clinicians, educators and families to help children achieve meaningful communication outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
• Experience in pediatrics preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 and videoconferencing software (Teams).
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Ability to provide services in French an asset.
• Demonstrated regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based intervention including screening, assessment and consultation on speech development, articulation, fluency, voice, resonance, AAC needs and swallowing.
• Interventions can be direct, mediated, or consultative and may be in groups or via virtual modalities.
• Educate clients, families and school personnel.
• Plan services as part of a multi-disciplinary team including family, school staff and other TVCC personnel.
• Participate in ongoing program development.
• Clinical supervision of support personnel, students and registrants as required.

Job description

We are currently recruiting to fill a contract, full time (37.5 hours/week) Speech-Language Pathologist position in School Therapy Services. The designated office for this position will be Owen Sound. The successful candidate will provide services in Grey and Bruce counties, with occasional support in Huron and Perth counties.

This position is expected to begin in October 2026 and end in December 2027. This position is based on the school year and no work is available during school breaks, including July and August.

This exciting role provides therapy services to students in schools and involves working with a variety of fellow clinicians, educators and parents to help children and youth achieve meaningful outcomes in their ability to communicate.

Responsibilities

• Provide mainly school based intervention including screening, assessment and consultation regarding speech development, articulation, fluency, voice, resonance, basic augmentative communication needs and swallowing;
• Intervention can be direct, mediated or consultative and may be in groups or include virtual modalities;
• Provide education for clients, families and school personnel
• Plan services as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes the family, other care providers, school board personnel, volunteers, staff from other agencies, and other TVCC staff;
• Participate in ongoing program development;
• Clinical supervision of support personnel, students and initial practice registrants within the guidelines of CASLPO may be required.

• Ability to provide services in French would be an asset
• Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Salary Range: $40.61 - $50.76/hour
