Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare is seeking School Nurses to deliver personalized home and community care in the Greater Hamilton area. You will provide primary care planning and deliver holistic nursing services to clients in their homes and schools.

The role requires an active RN license and CNO registration, with 1–2 years in community nursing preferred. Travel within Hamilton/Burlington region is expected, with comprehensive training and support from Bayshore’s team.

Qualifications

• Current CNO registration is required for practice.

Responsibilities

Travel to schools and community is required Shifts: Monday to Friday, 4-8 hour shifts

What You’ll Do

As a School Nurse, you’ll play a hands‑on role delivering personalized high‑quality care to your clients in their community. As a primary care planner to your clients, you have the autonomy and flexibility to provide a holistic approach to care while increasing your skills through our comprehensive training, mentorship and preceptorship programs. You will teach, delegate tasks and functions to different levels of clients and family members while maintaining our industry’s highest level of practice. You are the nursing care expert for your community. With our efficient work schedules, you will be focused more on care time and less travel time.

Education & Certification

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN)
• Current registration in good standing with the provincial regulatory body (CNO)
• Additional certifications (e.g., CNA, LEAP, deSouza) are assets

Experience

• 1–2 years of recent relevant nursing experience, preferably in a community setting
• Experience with palliative, pediatrics, diabetes management, trach/vent care is an asset

Other Requirements

• Valid G2 or G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
• Willingness to travel within the Hamilton/Burlington area in all weather conditions
