Job summary

Edge Imaging, Canada's leading school photography company, is seeking a seasonal photographer to travel to various schools and conduct photo sessions. The ideal candidate will focus on capturing memories for students and faculty in a friendly and efficient manner.

Experience is preferred but not mandatory. Enjoy flexible schedules with 4–5 shifts per week, and be part of a supportive team that values your contributions.

We are looking for a talented, dedicated, and enthusiastic seasonal photographer for the upcoming school photography season. This role involves traveling to schools to conduct portrait sessions with children and adults in a fast‑paced environment.

The role

As a seasonal photographer, you will travel to assigned schools to conduct photo day sessions, photographing children and adults individually or in groups.

What you will focus on

• Photograph a variety of subjects—children and adults—individually or in groups.
• Set up and break down professional photography equipment.
• Coordinate the day at the school to ensure an efficient session.
• Address requests from school administrators, teachers, and students.

What we're looking for

• Photography experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer focus and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities.
• Experience working with children is an asset.
• Reliable car capable of carrying professional equipment, valid driver’s license, and car insurance.
• Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Anticipated Hours of Work

• 4–5 shifts per week (30–40 hours weekly).
• Schedule closely resembles school day hours.
• Hours may fluctuate from time to time.

Physical requirements & work environment

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to push up to 80 lbs using appropriate equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend repetitively for extended periods.
• Travel required throughout the specified region.
• School environment ranging from Kindergarten to High School.
