Job summary

Everest Solutions and Images Ltd. in Thunder Bay is hiring seasonal photographers to join our school photography team. You will travel to schools across Western Ontario, capturing student portraits and delivering a positive Picture Day experience.

No prior experience is required; paid training is provided. The role runs 3 to 10 months with a starting pay of $19 per hour, including overnight travel to regional schools.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Reliable, insured vehicle with a valid Canadian driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and operate gear up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to travel overnight within Western Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality student portraits on school Picture Day.
• Set up, operate and pack down photography equipment.
• Provide friendly, professional interactions with students, staff and families.

This is a customer-facing role where you’ll interact with students, school staff, and families while capturing memorable moments.

What You'll Do

• Capture high-quality student portraits while following established photography standards
• Create a positive, professional, and well‑organized Picture Day experience
• Set up, operate, and pack down photography equipment at school locations
• Interact with students, school staff, and volunteers in a friendly and professional manner
• Work with team members to ensure Picture Day runs smoothly and on schedule
• Safely transport and care for photography equipment and materials

Position Details

• Role: Seasonal
• Term length: 3 to up to 10 months, depending on business needs
• Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
• Start date: As soon as possible
• Overnight Travel to schools within the region is required for this role

What You'll Bring

• Enthusiasm and passion for capturing meaningful student portraits and creating lasting memories

• Strong customer service and communication skills, with confidence interacting with students, staff, and families in a school environment
• Willingness to work a varied seasonal schedule, primarily Monday to Friday, with early mornings and occasional extended days as needed
• Daily access to a reliable, insured vehicle and a valid Canadian driver’s license
• Ability to lift and operate provided camera equipment, up to 40 lbs.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age in accordance with applicable employment standards
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and able to perform work from within Canada
