Job summary

Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools is seeking Kitchen Staff to support the School Nutrition Program. You will prepare meals and snacks to match approved menus in a clean kitchen, and assist with menus, inventory, and deliveries to multiple school sites.

The role requires experience in large-scale cooking, strict adherence to food safety guidelines, and reliable attendance. The position operates six hours per school day, with no summer schedule, and includes benefits under the UNIFOR

School Nutrition Program – Kitchen Staff

Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools covers a geographical area that includes the regional communities of Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, and Spirit River. We are a team of 600 staff who provide quality teaching and learning experiences for approximately 5400 students.

Position Overview

The School Nutrition Program Kitchen Staff work under the direction of the School Nutrition Program Coordinator to prepare and deliver a healthy range of food items in a clean and organized food service environment.

• Assist with confirming weekly menus
• Assist in maintaining inventory and complete weekly food and supply orders
• Prepare meals and snacks according to approved menusMaintain a clean, sanitized and organized kitchen area

• Follow food safety, sanitation and nutrition guidelines

• Hourly rate (grid range): $19.66 - $25.24.
