Job summary

Qualifications

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lift up to 50 lbs).
• Experience in commercial/institutional janitorial work preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior and exterior parts of the building, furniture, and equipment.
• Perform duties such as scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and polishing.
• Maintain records of daily/weekly cleaning and safety checks.
• Monitor heating, cooling, and lighting for comfort and energy conservation.
• Ensure WHMIS compliance and safe handling of chemicals.
• Assist with opening/closing facilities and drills as required.
• Communicate with Plant Services management about staffing and supplies.
• Prepare school for inspections by Fire Department and authorities.
